About Javeline DeskRun
DeskRun enables developers to create applications that load a foreign application or website and run trusted code in that application (a feature very similar to Mozilla’s Greasemonkey). This enables developers to extend these web applications with the features offered by DeskRun such as tray support, notifications, transparent windows and file system access.
You could extend your favorite webmail application by having it sit in the tray and pop up a balloon when a new email arrives. Export your folder or mail to disk; or, even auto sign in when your computer starts up.
The possibilities are numerous and give way to a non-intrusive way to develop extensions to existing web applications.
